STAR TREK IV - THE VOYAGE HOME

MAJEL BARRETT RODDENBERRY'S STARFLEET UNIFORM

This is Majel Barrett Roddenberry's maroon Starfleet uniform as worn in Star Trek IV.  I need to stuff the arms and pantlegs, but wanted to get pictures of it up as soon as possible!  I have been looking for a maroon uniform for years, and had also been looking for something of Majel's for quite a while, and then this piece came along and took care of both items on my "want" list!

I now have a reproduction pin for the shoulder strap, just need to take a picture of it!

SPOCK'S EAR TIPS

These are a pair of screen used Spock ear tips from Star Trek IV, The Voyage Home.  Many of these ear tips were used on the film as they filmed Leonard Nimoy's scenes.  These tips were obtained directly from Teresa Victor, Leonard's assistant for 19 years.

These ear tips still have makeup on them from use in the film!

STAR TREK V - THE FINAL FRONTIER

DR. MCCOY'S COMMANDO UNIFORM

Here is a costume worn by DeForest Kelley as Doctor McCoy in Star Trek V.  This is his Starfleet commando uniform as shown in the film.  It is tagged inside with labels containing De Kelley's name and has a paper hang tag stating "BB - DeForest Kelley".

The belt and the belt buckle are reproductions to complete the uniform;  the rest of the uniform is screen used.

Here are some screen caps showing the costume in use:

SCOTTY'S TRANSPORTER TOOL

This tool was used by James Doohan as "Scotty" to try to repair the transporter late in the movie.  The tool lights up when the red button is pressed.

Here is the scene where Scotty uses the tool to try to fix the transporter, in the movie you can see him come out from under the transporter pad and turn this tool off!

This is definitely one of my favorite props!

STAR TREK VI - THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY

KIRK'S KLINGON TRANSLATOR

Here we have a Klingon Translator used in the courtroom scene in Star Trek The Undiscovered Country.  Kirk and McCoy are tried in the death of the Klingon Chancellor and sentenced to Prison on Rura Pente.  During the trial, they must use translators to understand what is happening in the courtroom.  This translator was screen matched by a friend of mine to one of the translators used by William Shatner as Captain Kirk during the filming of that scene.  And to boot, the lights still work once I changed out the battery!

As I mentioned earlier, a friend of mine, Don Hillenbrand, screen matched this piece to one used by Kirk in this scene.  As Don also has a translator that is screen matched to a Kirk used piece, it appears that the propmaster in the movie did not keep track of which actor was using which translator during filming, meaning that my translator could have also been used by De Kelley (Dr. McCoy) too!

This is one of my "grail" pieces for sure!!!

KLINGON MASK

This incredible full head Klingon mask was used in Star Trek VI: Undiscovered Country, during the courtroom scene when Kirk and McCoy are put on trial that involved around 200 Klingons. In order to dress that many actors in Klingon makeup, the background actors in the upper balconies wore these full faced masks to make the process quicker than actually attaching individual prosthetics to their faces. This latex head has been completely painted and airbrushed with hair attached behind the forehead ridges and braded at back of the head. Facial hair has been added for eyebrows and a two part beard. Under the hair at the back of the head is a concealed Velcro strip to allow the wearer to take the mask on and off more easily.

UHURA'S EARPIECE

This earpiece was used in various Trek films including "The Undiscovered Country", made specifically for Nichelle Nichols as "Uhura".

KLINGON DICTIONARY

This dictionary was used by Uhura to translate Klingon in order to pass by the Klingon outpost on the way to Rura Pente to rescue Kirk and McCoy.  This prop is just a regular textbook whose cover has been replaced by the Trek Art Department.

 Vulcan Khitomer Conference Costume

This is a costume used in Star Trek VI for the Khitomer Conference.

STAR TREK - THE ORIGINAL SERIES

CLOUD GUARD HAT

First up is my newest acquisition, a Cloud Guard hat that was custom made for and used in the season three episode entitled "The Cloud Minders".   Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock discover a society where the Troglytes toil and suffer in the zenite mines while the wealthy live on a lavish, floating cloud city.  The Cloud Guards guarded the cloud city, and this hat was a part of their uniform.

This style hat was worn by a few actors and can be seen in several scenes of the episode.  The hat is in overall good condition with minor wear, fading and staining.

I love this piece as it is easily recognizable and displays very well!

CREWMAN JUMPSUIT

Next is an original series jumpsuit that I acquired from Screen Used.  This style jumpsuit was worn by various cast members in many episodes of the show including "Dagger of the Mind" and "Space Seed". The jumpsuit is in overall good condition with only minor wear from use and storage, although it is a little wrinkled right now from being stored in a box!

TRIBBLE

Tribble used in the Trouble with Tribbles episode, purchased from David Gerrold.

MATT JEFFERIES DRAWING - SHUTTLECRAFT

This is a Matt Jefferies drawing of various shuttlecraft for use in the original series.  Matt was the Art Director for TOS.  He would draw ideas for use in future seasons/episodes of the series.

The personnel carrier looks like it could be an early drawing of the Galileo 7!

MATT JEFFERIES DRAWING - VAAL FROM "THE APPLE"

Original production drawing for the god "Vaal" in the episode "The Apple". This artwork is illustrated in Herb and Yvonne Solow's book, "Star Trek Sketchbook" (page 48).

MATT JEFFERIES DRAWING - INTERIOR OF FLINT'S STUDIO

Matt Jefferies original production drawing of the interior of Flint's studio from the episode "Requiem For Methuselah". This drawing is highlighted on page 37 of Herb and Yvonne Solow's book, "Star Trek Sketchbook".

MATT JEFFERIES DRAWING - UNIFORMS

This is an original Matt Jefferies drawing and is dated "65" after his signature. This is the only Jefferies Star Trek drawing I have seen with a date on it. The uniforms look similar to the cut of the uniforms used in "The Cage".

MATT JEFFERIES ENTERPRISE PRODUCTION ARTWORK

This artwork is from the original series and is a camera ready piece meant to be used to make a graphic for the show or perhaps is meant to be used as box art for the Enterprise model kit produced by AMT. From the collection of Matt Jefferies. This artwork is the centerpiece of Herb and Yvonne Solow's book, "Star Trek Sketchbook" (pages 70 & 71).
Close up of the bottom of the piece; on the left side of the page it indicates "3 negs; 6 prints"

DEFOREST KELLEY'S PERSONAL SCRIPT

This is DeForest Kelley's personal, annotated script for the episode "The Last Gunfight" which was aired as "Spectre of the Gun".  You can see De's notes and where he circled his lines in the script.  On the cover, he listed the scene numbers that McCoy was in;  and, he has also jotted down the name and phone number of one of the stuntmen (Bob Orrison) on the cover of the script, probably to contact him after shooting.
